More than 90 sites are offered to tourists in the Shchuchin region by specialists from the Shchuchin District Tourist Information Center
This year, Shchuchin was visited by about 3,200 tourists, and the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Murovanka was visited by more than 4 thousand.
“The export of tourism services that we provided to foreign citizens this year amounted to about seven thousand dollars, – says Alla Kostevich, director of the Shchuchinsky regional tourist information center. – By the way, this figure has increased significantly compared to last year”.
If tourists come to the Shchuchin region, it means we have something to see! And the center’s specialists are ready to provide guests with all the necessary information.
“The main direction of our work is informing citizens about the tourism potential of the Shchuchinsky district, – continues Alla Albertovna. – We are ready to orient our guests to the variety of tourist sites that can be visited. For example, if travelers are adherents of agroecotourism, the doors of 18 agro-estates in the region will hospitably open their doors to them. If historical and cultural values are of particular interest, guests will receive a detailed detailed plan of where they are located. You can get acquainted with the historical past of our region in museums and museum rooms - there are 21 of them in the district. At the same time, we will inform people about where food facilities are located, in which hotels and hostels they can stay. If necessary, we will provide bus and train schedules”.
According to specialists from the Shchuchinsky District Tourist Information Center, there are 93 objects in the Shchuchin region that may be of interest to tourists. In addition, tourist travel routes have been developed in the area, such as bus, walking and cycling routes, and there are equipped ecological trails along which nature lovers can go. For example, the Zachepichi hunting complex of the Shchuchin forestry enterprise is offered by travelers.
“In order to present the tourism potential of the Shchuchin region as widely as possible, we constantly take part in district, regional, republican and even international events,” – continues Alla Albertovna. – We visited the Festival of National Cultures and took part in an exhibition-fair of tourism services. As part of the “Hospitable Belarus” program, we constantly update exhibition material: we publish booklets, order souvenirs depicting tourist sites in the Shchuchin region”.
The Shchuchinsky District Tourist Information Center, like other centers of the republic, has its own brand name - “i”. Using it you can quickly find out the location of the center. In the near future, this brand sign with the necessary information about the location of the center will also be installed at the entrance to Shchuchin. By the way, it is already marked on Google and Yandex maps.
On the website of the Shchuchin District Executive Committee in the “Tourism and Recreation” section, on the websites “Shchuchin Region” and “visit_shchuchin”, on social networks, every tourist or guest of Shchuchin can find all the necessary information about tourist sites, infrastructure, developed routes and much more.
“Our center is still very young: we are only a year old, – says Alla Albertovna. – But we are developing confidently. The 2nd Republican Forum on Tourism Development was recently held, organized by the Ministry of Sports and Tourism and the National Tourism Agency. During the meeting, we discussed the future prospects of such centers in the republic”.
Tourism specialists Alexander Karasik and Lyudmila Zhuk, under the leadership of Alla Kostevich, are doing everything possible to ensure that the sights of our Shchuchin region are known far beyond its borders. They also present their activities at the local level.
